High-quality Indonesian blue and green opal petrified wood, polished to a beautiful shine on one side, with the natural rough gorgeous luster on the other side. High quality pieces like this are now becoming mined-out, difficult to find, and expensive. We searched our inventory and are selling our last pieces of material that are ready to sell. Indonesian blue petrified wood formed when volcanic ash, mud and debris destroyed and buried trees and tree branches. Over millions of years, groundwater that is saturated with silica, copper and other elements seeped through the debris and into the wood, replacing the wood structure with brightly colored silica.
